Day Two

July 14^th, 2009

0905: Arrived back at the hospital and found dad quite chipper and he said he felt pretty good. (No doubt the meds from the night before) Began discussing Hospice process and waited to Case manager and Hospice admissions to come by.

13:00 Hospice folks began the registration process. Kind of weird to go through the process with your own father but Jesus followers are simply getting ready for a promotion! Praise God for His peace and comfort.

1400: Headed home to start rearranging furniture to make room for lots of medical equipment. Poured a concrete pad to help with dad’s wheelchair. Paul, Josh, Patric, Jerry and I did the concrete work while Donna, Teresa, Amanda, Jeff, and Christen went to 54^th Street Grill for supper.

2330: Kasey sends text telling us to pray for mom. Very emotional and struggling with the future unknowns. Teresa and I talked for about an hour with her and Teresa prayed with her.
